Happy Jedi Day basement dwellers!! I can confidently say I know im not the only one that has been looking forward to this day for well.. a whole year!! The one day a year us Star Wars Geeks can rejoice that the day has finally come to show off all of our hard practicing .. er.. TRAINING that we have done with our master replica lightsabers, and DUEL our hearts out! All of us here in Mom’s Basement aren’t the only ones popping in our Return of the Jedi VHS tapes. Check out what they are doing to celebrate this Geektastic holiday all around the globe. 
-This first one is not ON May 4th, it’s actually a wee bit late and happens on June 26th.. BUT.. Its one of the biggest Star Wars events this year. The Unofficial Official Disneyland Star Wars fan weekend. A huge fan gathering, costumes all happening at the Happiest place on Earth.
-The Limelight Complex in Belfont, UK is holding screenings of Star Wars Episodes IV, V and VI FREE ADMISSION
-Dorkshelf.com brings us an awesome event that comes with costume contests, parody video mash ups, Original Trilogy Trivia games and of course, photos with real life.. STORM TROOPERS! If you live in Toronto, dress up and go, you should.
-Pacific Science Center in Seattle is hosting its very own tribute to Jedi day. Including a Star Wars craft table ( yes, you can construct your very own lightsaber ), Space themed laser show, and its very own Star Wars Trivia Time. Brings the KIDS!
-Good ol’ San Francisco brings us a meet and greet with Storm Troopers and Jedi for their costume contest and a chance to win a star wars dedicated canvas art ( worth $445! ) All photo op donations and other proceed of this event go towards a charitable organization.
-In Groton, Ct they are hosting costume contest and trivia.. Who wouldn’t want a chance to be a Storm Trooper for a day? ( YAY Dark SIDE!! ) Free refreshments!!
So, no matter where you live, check our your local comic book shop, library or space exhibit ( If Mom says its okay to leave the house ) and you are sure to find a jedi or two awaiting your arrival with cupcakes and free loots.. oh.. and .. lots and lots of TRIVIA! Keep on Geekin’
