The Many Adventures of Link

1 Aug

One of my many Zelda-themed creations – a polymer clay Link figurine.

The Legend of Zelda is awesome. That’s a completely obvious statement, I know. All the gamers I know have played and liked at least a few of them, if not all of them. My Fallout items have been my best sellers in my Etsy shop for years, but Zelda items have now superseded them in popularity. I don’t mind a bit – Zelda has so many awesome items and creatures, and I have fond memories of all the games so it’s always fun to come up with new items based on the games.

I also love seeing what other Zelda-loving artists have created, and I bet you do too. So get ready for a stream of amazing  art, and then go play some Zelda.

We’re Gonna Need a Bigger Rucksack… by Kim Herbst

How does Link carry all that junk around with him? In this awesome print by Kim Herbst of kiwifruitbird, Link apparently doesn’t know either. I love the expression on his face!

Ocarina of Time by TiuanaRui

I’ve featured TiuanaRui before, but I couldn’t do a piece on Zelda without including some of her awesome art. Seriously, if you haven’t seen her DeviantART page, you need to visit it after you’re finished here. She has TONS of Zelda-related artwork based on OoT, Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword, and much more.

Legend of Zelda 10 Rupee Set – Giant’s Wallet by ChinookCrafts

Not only do I love these bright resin rupees, I love the photo as well! ChinookCrafts also sells rupee keychains and jewelry, Golden Skulltula Tokens, and Sage Medallions!

Hyrule Light World Map Cross Stitch Pattern by PixelComfort

If I did cross-stitch, I would buy this pattern right away. A Link to the Past is one of my favorites of the Zelda series. Alas, I don’t need anymore crafting hobbies. But if you love cross-stitch, go check out PixelComfort! They have other Zelda patterns as well as Final Fantasy and Mario Bros.

Legend of Zelda Pendant Skyward Sword Stamina Meter by CriticalHitShop

Wanna measure your health in a Zelda fashion? Heart meters are awesome, but for something truly unique, how about a stamina meter from Skyward Sword? This pretty pendant is made from brass and has a glow in the dark inset!

Spiritual Stones Set by zuzazoo

I love Ocarina of Time, and these spiritual stones are amazing! They come in either keychain or necklace form, and you don’t have to accept a marriage proposal from Ruto during purchase.

Legend of Zelda Fairy Necklace by SweetWhatevers

Every fan needs a bottled fairy charm! There are many to choose from on Etsy, including my own, but I’m really digging this unique, old skool fairy necklace. You don’t even need to fight your way through a Moblin-infested forest to get to it!

Triforce Eagle Legend of Zelda Cami by Stitch3d

I love the combination of the gold crest and burnt orange on this handpainted tank by our own Basement Dweller, Stitch3d. She has a large variety of Zelda-themed clothing, bags, and super cute hair bows with patterns including cuccos and the Sheikah Eye symbol.

Zelda Dungeon by KAGritzke

It’s hard to believe Link evolved from a stumpy little elf to a tall, muscular blonde, but this painting by KAGritzke has the original Link depicted perfectly, ready to fight whatever’s lurking in this old skool dungeon.

Kaepora Gaebora by ShadowWalkerInk

How awesome would this Kaepora Gaebora be hanging from a tree next to your house? I doubt he’s filled with quest information like in the games, but he’s sure to keep the squirrels away.

Link Pendant 8-Bit Sterling Silver by SketchyStories

I just love this cute little Link and Triforce necklace! SketchyStories has other sterling silver 8-bit favorites including Mario and Mega Man, and also a sleek and elegant Triforce necklace.

Midna by Aliceazzo

Wow, never has a blue woman looked so natural. This painting of Midna is realistic and amazing. I love it!

Limited Edition OoT Sweet Potato Ocarina by Songbird Ocarinas

If you aren’t already aware, you can own a realistic replica of one of Link’s ocarinas that not only looks awesome, but sounds awesome as well! This gorgeous limited edition ocarina is made by Songbird Ocarinas. I have a simpler OoT version by the same company I bought quite a few years ago. It came in a beautiful case with a free song book and even musically-challenge moi can play it. They have a variety of ocarinas (both Zelda and non-Zelda themed) and song books with Zelda songs including Kokiri Forest, Saria’s Song, Zelda’s lullaby and more!
