The more I watch NuWho, the more I realize I far prefer classic. But this week’s song goes out to NuWho fans, particularly those who like the Tennanth Doctor.
The Song: “Song For Ten” by Murray Gold
The Lyrics:
I wish today was just like every other day
‘Cause today has been the best day
Everything I ever dreamed
So have a good life
Do it for me
Make me so proud
Like you want me to be
Where ever you are
I’m thinking of you oceans apart
I want you to know
The Artist: Murray Gold has been the musical director of Doctor Who since 2005, and he arranges and composes much of the music for the show. He has often been accused of making loud and tasteless music that ruins scenes, but as a trombone player, I must say, MORE LOUD NOISES! In addition to his work on Doctor Who, Gold has also composed for Queer as Folk, Casanova, Kiss of Life, The Second Coming, Shameless, The Devil’s Whore, and many other film, television, radio, and stage projects.
