I decided to have fun with this week’s treasury–because next Tuesday’s theme is going to be sick puppies and it’s not going to be a day at the park. So what’s more fun than your geeky favorites shrunk down to an adorable size? Maybe puppies that aren’t sick..but let’s move on for the sake of the treasury.
I have always loved making miniatures and I’ve noticed that other Etsy Sellers feel the same way. Miniatures are great for doll houses, shadow boxes, jewelry, decorating, and they also make good gifts. I think it’s a great affordable way to collect art and capture little charms of your favorite things, if you have a game that you loved to play as a kid, or junk food that’s your favorite vice, I can guarantee that an etsy seller has crafted it. I thought it was also a fun mission to find some miniatures that you don’t see every day. Because if you say that you collect miniatures people are probably going to assume that you lay out tiny porcelain cats and farm animals on a doily in the middle of your coffee table–which still makes you totally awesome if you do–but the world of tiny things is so much more diverse than we’re led to believe!
