Welcome back to Treasury Tuesday!

This week’s selection is inspired by the lovely Halloween shopping trip I took with my family today. The air was nice and crisp and the leaves were absolutely beautiful. We picked up some supplies to make my daughter’s Jack-in-the-box costume and then she grabbed a small pumpkin to carve from the grocery store. It really took me back to all of the Halloween fun that I had as a kid, so I decided that this week’s treasury should be about Halloween nostalgia!

I think everyone who celebrated Halloween as a kid has their favorite traditions. I don’t know everyone’s story (sadly), so I just have to draw inspiration from my 90′s Halloween experiences. My family and I would go trick or treating for hours on end and meet up with our cousins and visit our grandparents’ houses and they would give us all kinds of fun Halloween-themed favors and candy. When the evening came to a close we, like every other kid I’m sure, would dump our loot on the floor and count and trade the candy that we got. I still get that giddy feeling when I take my own daughter trick-or-treating, and I love to sit and watch her count her candy with her friends… and… okay, I might steal a more than generous portion of her treats (hey! She’s 5. She’ll learn eventually to keep the sweets away from Mommy).

I hope you enjoy browsing some hand-picked items that remind me of being a kiddie on such a simple, fun silly day. Which is the only fun to be had in my opinion!
