Minecraft Bento Box!

minecraft box

Melvin and I haven’t made a bento box in awhile, and so we felt like making one to brighten up your lunch!  And by brighten up, I mean hisssssss it up… with Minecraft Creepers!  These guys can be frustrating when they destroy all of your hard work, so why not get back at them by eating them for lunch?  No cats or ocelots needed for this one.  Just some rice, food coloring and your building skills.

bento ingredientsFor this Minecraft Creeper Bento Box, you can really design it however you would like.  I will show you how Melvin and I put it together, but feel free to go crazy and really build it up.  In fact, if you decide to do that, send us some pictures!  Here’s what you will need:

Minecraft Bento Box

  • rice
  • green food coloring
  • nori (seaweed)
  • scissors
  • other food to go with the Creepers (I used hamburger)

green riceStep 1: Cook your rice.  After you’ve cooked it, spoon some into a small bowl.

Step 2: Drop a few drops of green food coloring into the rice, I used about 3 drops.

Step 3: Stir the food coloring into the rice.

Step 4: Take a sheet of nori and cut 2 small squares, 3 small rectangles and 1 large rectangle.

Step 6: Arrange the nori squares and rectangles onto the green rice rectangles to form the Creeper’s face.

Step 7: Take your other extra foods to go along with the rice and chop them up into cubes.

Step 8: BUILD! BUILD! EAT!
