This Friday, May 25, 2012, is the 35th Anniversary of what some would say is the greatest movies ever made. Some of us are lucky enough to remember watching it in the theater on the day of release, while others only wish that we could have seen these movies like that. I hope that one day they re-release the movies, in their original format/filming, to movie theaters across the country.
If you’re reading this post right now, you’re more than likely an avid fan of these movies. As an avid fan, how can you miss out on any of these items? Hurry to the shops of these talented crafters, and buy before you miss your chance!
10 -A Long Time Ago Vinyl Wall Decal
One of my favorite parts about this Vinyl is the photo. Having this quote above your bed is a great way to have amazing, Star Wars inspired dreams.
9 – Car Decals
Normally, I’m not a fan of the family decals, but these are awesome. How could anyone not love seeing our Han and Leia on the back window of a vehicle?
Almost 35 years ago (May 25th will mark the actual anniversary), the immortal words “a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away” first scrolled on the big screen. I don’t know if anyone at that time knew this would be the moment which would spark a fandom that even over a quarter of a century later is still as strong, maybe stronger, than it was upon the moment of release. Die-hard Star Wars fans have reached a level of fanaticism that some can only dream of; if you think I’m exaggerating, check out The Jedi Church for starters.
Now you may know this or not, but this Friday is the fourth of May – or, as many a Star Wars fan will tell you, “May the 4th Be With You” (an obvious pun on “May the Force be with you,” a phrase so famous within the series that it may as well be dogmatic). As such, this marks the perfect opportunity to celebrate the legacy which Star Wars has become, all on this sacred day where so many Star Wars geeks make their fandom known. And of course, what better way to commemorate this holiday with some Star Wars inspired looks, so read on!
