Tomorrow is my birthday, so I thought it would be fitting to find the coolest geek party favors for your own get-together, birthday, or wedding. My birthdays are usually pretty low-key, and were even when I was a kid (we saved the big party for Halloween), but if you plan on surprising someone with a geeky party, you might want some of these awesome items:
I was recently in the coolest video game store (Jay Street Video Games) that I’ve ever been in, in the King of Prussia Mall. The store has games for every console imaginable, and made me want to come home, hook up my Atari 2600, and play the games that I grew up playing.
How many of these do you remember playing for hours at a time?
10 – Pitfall Mittens Knitting Pattern
This item combines two of my passions: knitting and gaming. Pitfall is my Mom’s favorite Atari game, and though I tried, I was still haven’t gotten farther in this game than she has.
9 – Pac-Man Ghost Pendant
My favorite part of this necklace is the googly eyes – they’re a perfect addition to this already awesome pendant.
I don’t know about you, but after a long hard day of eating Power-Pellets and various fruits, I like to take a nap. And when I take a nap, I don’t lay my head on just anything. I like a nice comfy pillow, preferably one decorated with those ghosts I’m usually running away from.
Monica from MalonB knows what I’m talking about. Her magnificently crocheted pillows are perfect for napping, decorating or just showing off your love for endlessly chasing things.
Or maybe Pacman caused you anxiety and you don’t think it’s good material for comfortable sleeping. Perhaps you believe Raccoon suit Mario or Sonic the Hedgehog is more fitting for pillows. Well you’re in luck, because Monica makes them too. So run quickly over to her shop and check them out!
Today is a very important day. Not only is it Thursday, and only one more day stands in the way of our precious weekend, but today is someone’s birthday. Not just any someone, it belongs to someone very important and amazing!

Time for your daily dose of geek. Well, you came to a geek blog, so I guess i’m obligated to give you what you came for. Geek love is in the air, and since it is the age of expression us geeks of course have to do it better and bolder then the rest. We may have to constantly push our glasses up, but we sure know how to make a fashion statement..
This week my boyfriend has been especially sweet to me, so I thought I would share some of the fun things we have been looking at. Poor guy didn’t know what he was getting into when he met me and definitely didn’t know what he was getting into when he said *you can pick any one you want*..
Like always, I have to start this collection out with what I love most.. if you’ve been reading this blog you know I never skimp on the Star Wars love..
Next I have some pretty amazing rings that pretty much blew my mind. Beat these in the contest for “most creative*…
This ring is actually etched with the physical look of what the sound wave “Yes, I do” .. This is amazing.
Forget diamonds.. the Remember ring is a girls best friend. This ring is especially amazing, and will make any man..melt. This ring has your anniversary date etched in the inside of the band. Under your anniversary date lays some mechanics that make sure the wearer can NEVER forget that special date. 10 minutes before and periodically during the day the inside of the band heats up to 120 degrees for 10 secs at a time. The heat is in such a short amount of time that it does not hurt the wearer, but it does cause discomfort. you take the ring off, and BAM… OH YEAH! Its my anniversary. Saves a lot of awkward gift forgeting. Oh, and you never need to worry about charging it, when it heats up it recharges the battery for you. Crazy!
The projection ring is one of my favorites. The ring holds a few very special pictures right in the band, and when in a dark room all you need to do is shine a bit of light on it and your image projects onto the wall for everyone to see!
